Why Is My Call Answered Rate Low?

If you're seeing a low call answer rate on your campaigns, you're not alone - This is a common concern for many users. The average answer rate for is around 10%, and it’s not unusual for your initial results to fall slightly below that. However, if you're consistently seeing rates significantly lower, there are a few key areas to examine.

  • First, make sure you're calling during allowed hours - between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time for the prospect. Calls outside these hours will not be attempted, which can limit your total volume and reach.

  • Next, verify that you are not exceeding your daily call quota. Each account has a 2,000-call daily limit, and if that limit is reached, no more calls will go out until the next day (calls reset at 3:00 a.m. Eastern). You can monitor this via the balance trackers in the Campaign Manager.

  • List Quality is another potential factor. If many of your uploaded numbers are on the National Do Not Call registry, they will be filtered out, and your effective list size - and thus opportunities to connect—shrinks. Each of these blocked numbers will appear with a status of 'Requested Not to Call' in your campaign.

💡 Tip: Check your campaign settings. If you're re-running a campaign, be mindful of the ‘Uncalled Numbers Only’ checkbox. Leaving it checked ensures only numbers that haven’t been tried yet are dialed. If unchecked, Gen will retry unanswered numbers, potentially boosting your overall connection rate.
