What to Ask During a Call and Where to Record It in Prop AI
When calling contacts in Prop AI, it's important to understand the lead type, ask the right questions, and document outcomes properly. Here's how to do it.
Identify the lead type
- Inside a contact's record, scroll down the left panel.
- Look for tags that indicate lead type (e.g., "expired listing" or "long days on market").
- If the tags are unclear, check with the person who created the list (e.g., Matt Flaherty).
Ask the right questions
- In the contact record, open the Follow-Up drop-down menu.
- Click Guide Pre-Qual. This includes a Pre-Qualification Cheat Sheet that lists key questions to ask (e.g., Is the property vacant, tenant-occupied, or owner-occupied?).
Record call results
- Still in the Follow-Up drop-down, select Pre-Qual Agent Light.
- Fill out the form as you speak with the contact. This updates the CRM and signals to closers that pre-qualification is complete.
Update the lead disposition
- Scroll down the left side of the contact record to find Lead Disposition.
- Use the drop-down to select the next lead stage based on the call (e.g., Unanswered, Following Up, Needs Underwriting).
Tips for navigating contact records
- You must be inside a specific contact's record—not just the main contact list.
- If the top section says only "Contact Details" (missing the contact’s name), you may have opened it through the wrong path. Try navigating back in through the correct link or list view.
